Synthetic Indices Available On Weltrade

Synthetic indices on Weltrade are trading instruments designed to copy the movement of real-world markets but they are not affected by fundamentals like NFP reports.

These synthetic indices move as a result of algorithms that have been programmed.

Weltrade offers 5 different types of synthetic indices namely:

  • FX Vol
  • SFX
  • Pain X
  • Gain X
  • Flip X

Under each type of synthetic index, we have different specific instruments that behave in different ways. Let's look at these instruments in detail below and compare them to Deriv synthetic indices.

FX Vol Synthetic Indices

These are trading instruments that move with a constant velocity. They are similar to Deriv's Volatility indices. The following are the specific indices and their movements

  • FX Vol 20
  • FX Vol 40
  • FX Vol 60
  • FX Vol 80
  • FX Vol 99

These move with a constant volatility as noted by the number. E.g FX Vol 20 has a fixed volatility of 20% while FX Vol 99 has a fixed volatility of 99%.

This means that FX Vol 20% has the least volatility while FX Vol 99 is the most volatile index.

The higher the volatility level, the higher the rate of price change in that asset over time.

SFX Vol Indices On Weltrade

These are similar to Jump Indices on Deriv.

The five SFX Vol indices are designed to simulate markets with constant volatilities of 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 99%.

On average, these synthetic indices have an equal probability of an up or down jump movement every 30 minutes. The average jump size is around 30 times the normal price movement.

Pain X Indices On Weltrade

These are similar to Crash Indices on Deriv.

They act like a rising market that has a massive price drop after an average number of ticks. The number in the name of the index shows the average number of ticks that are needed before the price crash.

Below is a list of the Pain X Indices

  • Pain X 400
  • Pain X 600
  • Pain X 800
  • Pain X 999
  • Pain X 1200

So the Pain X index has a price crash after every 400 ticks on average.

Gain X Indices On Weltrade

These behave just like Boom Indices on Deriv

They are the opposite of Pain Indices. They represent a falling market that has a price jumb after an average number of ticks. The following indices are available.

  • Gain X 400
  • Gain X 600
  • Gain X 800
  • Gain X 999
  • Gain X 1200

Flip X Indices on Weltrade

These are just like Step Indices on Deriv.

They are indices with a 50% chance to change direction. The five available Flix indices are from Flip X 1 to 5.

The number shows the random step multiplier. Flip X5, for example, has a random step multiplier up to x5.

Weltrade Deposit & Withdrawal Methods

Deposit and withdrawal options are a big issue for Zimbabwean traders since we don't have access to some of the popular methods like Skrill. Fortunately, Weltrade broker has attractive options. These include

  • BancAbc, Steward, Stanbic Visa
  • Crypto like Bitcoin, Ethereum, LTC

  • You cannot withdraw the deposit but you can withdraw profits made as long as the spread obligations are met
  • It is only available on your first deposit
  • The bonus is available on all account types
  • You need to deposit $25 or more

Weltrade Support

Weltrade broker has 24/7 support that makes it easy for traders to et help on the issues they may be facing.

You can reach them via email and live chat on their website. You can also request a call.

Weltrade Education

The broker hosts online webinars to help new traders get started. They also have in-person seminars in Harare and Bulawayo regularly.

However, they do not have an online academy, and their overall education section is rather limited.

If you are a newbie looking for a broker with comprehensive education, I suggest brokers like:

Conclusion on Weltrade: Is It Suitable For Zimbabwean Traders?

Weltrade is best suited for traders who want 24/7 trading with a decent level of trading experience. The low minimum deposit needed to trade synthetic indices makes this a very attractive broker for Zimbabweans.

Another strong point is the 30-minute withdrawals and the variety of payment methods available to Zimbabweans.

However, the brokers' offshore regulation is rather weak, and this should be taken into account.

The broker also has limited educational facilities and this will be a major disadvantage for newbies.
